John Milkovisch started his piece of artwork in 1968, after retiring from the Southern Pacific Railroad, and over the next 18 years it transformed into what you see today. There are over 50,000 cans found on the property (as estimated by Ripley’s Believe It or Not). Both front and back yards are covered with recycled pieces of aluminum as well as the house itself. Today, the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art is in charge of the restoration and upkeep.
